MCA Debt Relief For Restaurant Owners, Chefs & Food Service Operators

You built the menu, trained the crew and kept the doors open through slow seasons, rising food costs and a few years nobody saw coming. Somewhere along the way a merchant cash advance looked like the easy fix, and now a cut of every day's sales goes back out before you've paid a single vendor.

We help restaurant owners lower those daily payments, deal with the funders directly and keep the kitchen running, so you can get back to worrying about covers instead of debits.

Why Independent Restaurants Struggle With Cash Flow And MCA Debt

Running a restaurant means living on thin margins. After food, labor and rent, a lot of independent places keep somewhere between 3 and 6 cents of every dollar. That leaves almost no room when the walk-in dies on a Friday night or a slow January drags into February.

MCAs go after restaurants for a reason. Funders can see your card sales, approve you in a day and pull their payment straight from your processor or your bank. Easy money going in. Coming out, it takes a fixed bite of every day's sales, the slow days included.

Already behind? Here's what happens when you can't make your MCA payments, and what to do first.

What A Slow Week Looks Like From Your Bank Account

A neighborhood restaurant doing about $31,000 a week, with one advance debiting $1,150 every weekday. The early part of the week is where it hurts.

Fast Funds With Long Term Consequences

The pitch is always the same. No collateral, a one page application, money by tomorrow. When payroll is due Friday and sales were soft all week, that's hard to turn down.

But a daily payment set on your best month doesn't adjust itself when you have a bad one. Owners start cutting menu items, trimming hours and paying vendors late just to keep the debits clearing. Then the renewal call comes with a little more money on top of what's left, and the cycle starts over. Getting owners out of that cycle is most of what we do all day.

Common Questions Restaurant Owners Ask

Can I keep my restaurant open during the program?

Yes. The point is to keep you open. You keep serving customers and running the business while we work with your funders.

My funder takes a percentage of my card sales. Does that change anything?

Not really. Whether your funder pulls a fixed daily ACH or takes a split from your card processor, we can work with it. We'll look at how your agreement is set up and plan around it.

We have a slow season every year. Can the plan account for that?

It should. We look at at least a few months of sales, not just your best weeks, so the plan still works in January or August, whenever your slow stretch is.

What if I have more than one location?

That's fine. We'll look at advances across all your locations, including ones taken under different entities, and put together one plan that makes sense for the whole group.

Will my vendors or staff find out?

Not from us. We deal with your funders directly. Your vendors, landlord and team don't need to be involved.

Is this the same as bankruptcy?

No. Bankruptcy is a court process. Our program is worked out directly with your funders outside of court, and your business keeps running the whole time. If bankruptcy might honestly be a better fit for you, we'll say so and suggest you talk to a bankruptcy attorney.

Will this affect my credit?

It can. Restructuring or settling debt may show up on your credit, and some funders report missed payments. We'll go over what to expect on your consultation so nothing catches you off guard. Most owners we talk to are more worried about keeping the business open than about their score, but it's your call to make.
